Rockers, writers, titled socialites, and people of the night mingled when Diane Von Furstenberg invited a few of her pals (many of whom had just spent a vacation together in Saint Barts) to her apartment in the Carlyle Hotel to celebrate Rolling Stone founder and editor in chief Jann Wenner's forty-fifth birthday. After an Italian feast and chocolate-and-cream birthday cake, the guests settled back to enjoy the night while photographer Johnny Pigozzi got stuck with the cleaning up.
