Huang Up
New York decorator Nancy Huang never imagined working on Wall Street, until she was asked to consult on Daryl Hannah's decorator role in Oliver Stone's film of that name. "Daryl speaks very slowly," says Huang. "I told her decorators talk very opinionatedly. I made her character sound like less of a cardboard bimbo, which tends to be Oliver's view of women." Like she said, opinionated. Huang did the above apartment for her boyfriend, music whiz Nile Rodgers, who's busy with his new group, Outloud, and scoring and acting in Julien Temple's Earth Girls Are Easy. Earth Girl Nancy, meanwhile, is hardly taking anything easy. A "writer in the morning, decorator in the afternoon," she's now decorating her computer with her first full screenplay. Is this what they mean by a designing woman?
