• It was essentially as a dancer that Irene Delroy first became known to that gilded slice of the public which occupies the best seats at the best musical comedies. In Here's How, and Follow Thru, her dancing was well described as charming, and her audiences neither suspected nor mourned the potentialities of that moderately mute but graceful throat. In Top Speed, however, Miss Delroy sings with colour and competence. A film version of Top Speed will be her first contribution to the screen when, at the end of the New York run, she joins that galaxy of singing stars bound for the audible pictures
